SOLD--American Officer's Sword circa 1800. The grip is made of bone, the cross guard and pommel are made of brass and probably were connected by a brass chain since there are remaining small holes. The massive, well balanced blade is unmarked. The length of the entire sword is 35 ½ inches. The length of the blade is 30 inches and 1 ½ inches wide. The sword is in good condition except for minor rust spots on the blade and cracks in the bone grip. |
