Large antique Indo-Persian steel shield Separ, 18th -19th century,
Qajar dynasty. Of circular convex form decorated on the center with
Arabic calligraphy, surmounted with cartouches containing human
figures in Persian costumes and foliage. A broad band with eight lobed
cartouches containing calligraphic Arabic script, on a foliate ground.
A centre with four domed bosses with bolts on the back for rope (to
