Authentic Antique 17th century Indian Mughal mace (shashbura, lung tearer) Islamic Persian Shishpar literally means "six blade". Details:Made entirely of steel, head formed of nine flanges, below a domed finial, and a cylindrical haft with a Khanda sword type basket hilt. The mace was one of the principal weapons used for hand-to-hand fighting and was commonly hung from a saddle. These types of maces were used widely in Eastern Europe. Measurements: Overall length: 79 cm (31 in).
Condition: Chipped guard, two small holes in disc pommel, very dark age patina. |
