An abstract axe figure depicting a standing man carved from a green
hard stone from the Mezcala Culture, late preclassic period (300-100
BC). The man is standing with hands hanging down to his sides, a
rounded torso, and pointed short legs. These types of figures have
been used as ceremonial stone axe heads as offerings to the gods.
MEASUREMENTS: Height: 12 cm (4 ¾ inches).
